Staples High School, Westport, CT, Volunteer Researcher (November 2020-April 2021)

• Working alongside the head of the history department at Staples, Lauren Francese, to help create, design and promote a more inclusive and diverse history curriculum 

• Conducts research as needed, including alumni interviews 

• Participates in bi-weekly conference calls to both offer feedback and learn from speakers such as Dr. Yohuru Williams 

 

The Comm, Tokyo, Japan and Online, Writer (September 2018-April 2020)  

• Produced at least 4 articles per issue for a multilingual online magazine based in Tokyo, Japan, dealing with the latest trends, interviews with fashion designers, influencers and photographers, styling tips and Tokyo-based travel guides.

• Works with a team of 26 to curate monthly issue focusing and exploring certain themes using both traditional and current examples from all over the world 

• Helped organise and participate in three photoshoots, as well as two events hosted by the magazine

 

Filthy Narcissist, Online, Creator and Owner (June 2018-Present)

• Created a personal fashion blog to showcase outfits, discuss and research trends, and create travel guides. 

• Created and currently manage multiple social media presences to promote the blog, including a Pinterest with over 20 thousand unique viewers a month and use of SEO

• Writing creative blog posts designed to attract and appeal to a large audience with an emphasis on personal style

• Experience designing and customising a personal website

 

Urban Outfitters​, Washington, D.C ​Sales Associate​ (October 2017-May 2018)

• Part-time employee, working at one of Urban Outfitter’s largest and busiest stores 

• Received personal praise from multiple customer reviews, with specific focus on styling skills and interpersonal communication

 

Nyota Magazine, Washington D.C, Photographer (June 2017- September 2018)

• Worked as both a photographer and model, styling looks for two issues of a student-run fashion magazine 

• Pitched ideas, styled both shoots and was able to photograph and edit to fit the magazine’s stylistic needs 

 

American Literary Magazine, Washington, D.C Photography Editor (August-December 2016)

• Helped select photographs for the magazine which is published twice a year with over 100 pages, reaching the entirety of campus through both free hard copies and website archives

• Worked with a photography team of three to review hundreds of photography submissions, organised and hosted group review sessions and helped define an aesthetic for the magazine
