When I was a kid, I was OBSESSED with Mood Rings. Jewellery that could tell you how you're feeling, like some kind of fabulous therapist? Sign me up. However, I was always disappointed by the murky, bland colours I got that never really reflected how I was feeling (some didn't even match the colours on the chart at all). This week, I decided to do my younger self justice and created a mood ring look book inspired by all the colours I wish I had gotten on my mood ring. Each da
Here are some of my favourite outfits I wore in July! I really tried to amp up my looks in NYC and I think I managed to come up with these three cute looks that I'd love to share with you guys.
To start off, this is probably my favourite look. In my previous blog post about my favourite places to thrift in NYC (check it out if you haven't already!), I mentioned how I thrifted this amazing Budweiser dress. It's still one of my all-time favourite pieces and I think I paired
Throughout my life, my dad has been obsessed with trains. While he doesn't have a full set of trains yet, he's always reading train collector magazines and finding little trains to put around our house. Growing up around all this train memorabilia has clearly impacted me, because the obsession continues! I personally love trains, and think they have such a sweet, nostalgic feel to them. I also enjoy riding them, because it gives me a chance to relax and enjoy the sights. They
While there are so many things to love about summer, it probably has to be my least favourite season for clothing. The hotter weather makes it more difficult to style layer up, and most of the clothing on sale switches to more bohemian, relaxed vibes. Therefore, I'm sharing with you guys my best ways to adapt your street style for th
A few days ago, I went with my mum to the Brooklyn Botanical gardens. It was a beautiful day, 72 degrees and sunny, perfect for strolling around the gardens! It was absolutely beautiful. We started out with lunch at the Hudson Garden Grill. I would highly recommend making reservations before you go, as it can get quite crowded. However, since we got there only 15 minutes after it opened at 11:45, we were able to get a seat outside. It was perfect weather, and our waiter was v
Recently I was given the amazing chance to explore a private garden in Connecticut. The Blau Gardens are usually closed off to the public, but they do open them up for special occasions. The gardens are currently taken care of by a family, who lives on the property. They are absolutely stunning, as seen in the pictures below. They've got everything from a small maze to a bamboo garden to a river running through! I was so lucky to be able to see such a delightful garden and to
One of my favourite things about springtime is all the flowers that pop up. Not only are they beautiful, but they make a great background for photos. I found this amazing flower wall in Georgetown, tucked away in one of the neighbourhood streets. Lucky for me, I was already perfectly dressed for the occasion. I wore my Urban Outfitters sundress, which is one of my summer and spring staples. It is so comfortable and easy to wear, and helps you look put together easily. I paire
